Matthew McConaughey: That's how he raves about his three children

Actor Matthew McConaughey is the father of three children. In an interview, the actor raves about her creative talents.

Matthew McConaughey (50, "The Gentlemen") is the proud father of three children: Levi (born 2008), Vida (born 2010) and Livingston (born 2012). Together with his wife Camila Alves (38), the Hollywood star, like many other parents, had to cope with the corona isolation with his children. However, the quarantine also had good sides, as he said in an interview with "People" magazine. "One of the advantages of quarantine is that the children were forced to be more independent. They had to find a way out of boredom on their own," explains McConaughey. The children especially enjoyed one hobby.

The kids would like to take pictures, says the actor. "They're going to be a real production team. I think that's very cool and they're getting really good at it." During the quarantine, the children spent more time with their hobbies and discovered their creativity. He is sure that this would not have happened if they had gone to school. But photography isn't all the McConaughey kids are interested in: "They make pretty good storytellers too."

"To be a father was always my only dream"

While daughter Vida likes to draw, son Levi is musically gifted. "Basically, he came out of the womb and already knew the difference between minor and major," jokes the actor. "He's been doing a lot of composing for the past six months. Now he hears the music in a movie and says, 'This is Hans Zimmer' or 'This is John Williams,' which is really cool."

"The only thing I always wanted to be was to be a father," says the actor. This is the absolute highlight for him. "To be a father was always my only dream," said the 50-year-old. "I can't think of anything more important".
