Many stars, including his “Friends” colleagues Jennifer Aniston (54), Courteney Cox (59), Lisa Kudrow (60), Matt LeBlanc (56) and David Schwimmer (56), have left after the unexpected Death of Matthew Perry (1969-2023) reported to say goodbye to the actor. Salma Hayek (57), who appeared alongside Perry, who died at the age of just 54, in the 1997 film “Fools Rush In – Heart Over Head”, now also finds moving words.

“Two days ago I woke up to the shocking news that Matthew Perry was no longer with us,” writes Hayek about shared pictures on Instagram. She needed the time to process “this deep sadness”. “There’s a special connection that happens when you share dreams with someone and work toward them together.”

Matthew Perry’s probably best film

Hayek was very touched last year when Perry noted in an Instagram story “how much he loved ‘Fools Rush In’ and that he thought the film we made together was probably his best film was”. Over the years, the two have fondly remembered that time – “with a deep sense of nostalgia and gratitude for this meaningful time in our lives.” Hayek also attached a screenshot of the same story to her post.

The actress addressed further words directly to her late colleague: “My friend, you left far too soon, but I will continue to appreciate your silliness, your persistence and your beautiful heart. Farewell, sweet Matthew, we will never forget you.”

Matthew Perry, of “Friends” fame, was found dead in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles on October 28, according to US reports. The exact cause of death has not yet been clarified.
