Series star Matthew Perry poses on Instagram in a "Friends" T-shirt with a Chandler print. He does the whole thing for a good cause.

It has been pretty quiet on Matthew Perry's (51) Instagram account for the past few weeks. But the "Friends" actor broke his absence from the platform with a funny and important contribution. The newly engaged actor announced that he would sell "Friends" merchandise for a short time. The proceeds of the campaign are to benefit those affected by Covid 19.

In a photo that the 51-year-old published on Instagram, he is holding a banana to his ear like a phone while wearing a T-shirt with a print of his dancing "Friends" character Chandler Bing. The shirt is part of a limited merchandise collection consisting of t-shirts, hoodies, caps and mugs.

Income supports the World Health Organization

The actor wrote: "I'm only releasing a clothing collection for two weeks! The proceeds will support the World Health Organization in its efforts to help Covid-19." However, the banana shown in the photo is not included in the offer, he joked.

There has been more good news for fans in the past few weeks: Matthew Perry will meet his old "Friends" colleagues in spring 2021. He is celebrating a TV reunion for a special with Jennifer Aniston (51), Courteney Cox (56), Lisa Kudrow (57), Matt LeBlanc (53) and David Schwimmer (54). The recording should take place at the beginning of March, like Perry himself on twitter announced.
