Sarah Ferguson remembers the late “Friends” star

She met him while filming a “Friends” guest appearance: Sarah Ferguson mourns the death of actor Matthew Perry.
Sarah Ferguson (64) also publicly mourns Matthew Perry (1969-2023). “It is a tragedy to lose you so soon. Rest in peace, dear Matthew,” wrote the Duchess of York on her X account. “You have brought joy and laughter to so many people.” Matthew Perry was found dead in his hot tub on October 28th. The “Friends” star was 54 years old.
Sarah Ferguson posted a picture of herself with Matthew Perry and the other “Friends” cast alongside her statement. The picture is from 1998. “Fergie” had a guest appearance in the finale of the fourth season of the cult sitcom, the double episode took place in London.
“Natural talent, comedian and brilliant actor”
“I remember how thrilled I was to have met a natural, comedian and brilliant actor,” Ferguson wrote of meeting Perry. At that time, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife was only in front of the camera with Joey actor Matt LeBlanc (56). But Perry should according to the Daily Mail stood by during the recording to take away the nervous Duchess’s shyness.
Matthew Perry was found dead by his assistant on Saturday. An autopsy did not reveal a cause of death, and the police ruled out foul play. A toxicology report is still pending. No drugs were found in the house of the actor, who had long struggled with alcohol and pill addiction, but prescription medication was found.
