The CAC 40 closed a positive week, with a gain of 0.6%. The index is now looking for a second wind, after its rally where it gained 13% in 1 and a half months. Support is at 7,350 points, the low of January 5. The area of 7,050 points should be monitored. The upward trend is not in question. For today the session promises to be calm, in the absence of the American markets where the day will be a public holiday (commemoration of the birth of Martin Luther King).
The week will be busy with inflation statistics: German figures on Tuesday, followed by those of the Eurozone and the United Kingdom on Wednesday.
Quarterly and annual company results will also punctuate the week, as well as the Davos Forum.
