Matthieu Lartot affected by cancer: Romain Magellan reveals a photo with the journalist

While he recently announced that he was facing a recurrence of his right knee cancer, Matthieu Lartot can count on the support of those close to him. This Monday, May 1, former rubgyman Roman Magellan posted a photo alongside his friend.

This is sad news that was announced by Matthew Lartot a few days ago. On April 18, the famous rugby and tennis commentator on France Télévisions announced that he was going to withdraw from the group because he has to face a recurrence of right knee cancer. “I am forced today to move away from the antenna to get back into the ring and fight cancer a second time! 26 years later, history unfortunately stutters. There was a 1-5% chance of it happening and it did“, he explained on his Instagram account.

And a few days later, Matthieu Lartot revealed that the disease would force him to have his right leg amputated. “It’s a question of survival”, he confided in the columns of Midi-Olympiques. “Some cells that had been irradiated did not disappear and a sarcoma three times larger than the first one appeared“, he continued, explaining afterwards that he felt “pains that were no longer bearable”.

The beautiful attention of Romain Magellan

But in this difficult ordeal, Matthieu Lartot can still count on the support of his friends, and in particular the rugby player Romain Magellan. On the occasion of May 1, the former companion of Valérie Trieweiler has indeed shared a photo of a good time spent alongside the sports journalist. “A good and happy May 1st! Obviously we talked about work finally rugby! but not only“, he wrote in the caption of several shots, one of which dates from 1994. “You’re solid Matthieu Lartot”he added before concluding on a note of humour: “Thanks to your darling Magalie for the chouquettes, + 2 kg”. There is no doubt that this nice attention will not have failed to touch the heart of Matthieu Lartot.
