(CercleFinance.com) – Maurel & Prom confirms that discussions were held last week between the managers of its subsidiary M&P Gabon and representatives of residents near the Ezanga permit, following their requests in terms of employment and economic benefits .
These discussions took place with the support of the Gabonese authorities and made it possible to quickly reach an agreement thanks to which expansions of current ESG programs will be studied and proposed in the coming weeks.
The oil company specifies that production has not been affected at any time, and that the approval process for the acquisition of Assala is currently underway with the Ministries of Oil and Economy of Gabon, as well as the CEMAC.
