Maurel & Prom: the dividend jumps by 64%

(Boursier.com) — Upon publication of its 2022 annual results, Maurel & Prom informed its shareholders of its intention to increase the dividend for this financial year. After studying the group’s financial situation and the performance achieved, the Board of Directors has just proposed the payment of a dividend of 0.23 euro per share, for a total amount of 50 million dollars.

The Maurel & Prom dividend thus goes from 0.14 euro per share for 2021 to 0.23 euro for 2022, marking a +64.3% growth in the direct return to shareholders.

This coupon is intended to reflect the net increase in the group’s financial performance, and Maurel & Prom’s desire to return the value created to shareholders. “This marked increase demonstrates our commitment to returning value creation to our shareholders, while resolutely continuing to develop the Group”, commented Olivier de Langavant, CEO of M&P.

It should be remembered that Maurel & Prom recorded a 71% growth in its profits for 2022, which rose from $121 million in 2021 to $206 million in 2022.

At the current price of 3.72 euros (+12.58% in session), Maurel & Prom’s yield comes out close to 6.2%.
