Maxime Geek Universe 2023: the geek culture fair opens its doors this weekend and we will be there!

THE Maxime Geek Festival 2023 will take place this weekend, November 4 and 5, 2023. After a completely successful fifth edition last year, this family convention is back in force with numerous activities to entertain young and old alike. During these two days, visitors will be invited to participate in numerous activities and initiations, to browse the specialized stands, to take advantage of the arcade terminals with free access, to compete in video game tournaments, to dive into virtual reality and finally to participate in creative workshops. We will be there with our stand dedicated to VR.

Below you will find the program of activities for the two days. Our stand will allow you to discover virtual reality, to play alone or with others. In addition to our Oculus Quest 2 headsets, there will be two kayaks, an Oculus Quest Pro and an Oculus (XR). Prepare to test mixed reality and tell yourself that you are not ready!

Saturday program under the big top:

  • Retro-Gaming and Self-Service Arcade Terminals: go back in time with more than 2000 games available on the Fun War stand. Relive your childhood memories by playing your favorite games;
  • Quiz and Blind Test: test your geek knowledge and your musical ear on stage with the Sohei association. Prizes await the most brilliant participants;
  • Board Games Area: the “Des Jeux, Des Mots” stand offers games for all ages, from the “Smart Game” corner for toddlers to Dobble in an XXL version, as well as an intergenerational board game area for fun times with the family.
  • Role-playing and board games: the “Le Cercle des Rêveurs” association transports you to fantastic worlds with games suitable for children aged 7 and over;
  • Virtual Reality Center: explore the world of virtual reality thanks to the GAMERGEN.COM stand. Younger children aged 7 and over can immerse themselves in captivating virtual worlds;
  • Superhero Makeup: transform yourself into a superhero with makeup on the “It’s up to you” stand and shine in the crowd;
  • One Piece Creation Workshop: create badges and key rings inspired by the One Piece universe on the “It’s up to you” stand and display your passion for the adventures of Luffy and his crew;
  • Driving simulator: Driving enthusiasts ages 10 and up can test their skills on the driving simulator at the Poker Agency booth;
  • Mario Kart circuit: young drivers aged 6 and over can take part in wild races on the Mario Kart circuit at the Poker Agency stand:
  • Playing Card Exchange and Resale Area: collectors of Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball, and other cards can exchange and sell their rare cards on the Geekland stand;
  • Street Fighter 6 Tournament: Take part in the Street Fighter 6 tournament organized by the Fun War booth. Train in the morning and compete against up to 32 players on PC Street Fighter 6 at 2:30 p.m.;
  • Special Pokémon Initiation: Discover the fantastic world of Pokémon on the Geekland stand. At 2 p.m., try the Pokémon card game (from 5 years old), followed by a fun Pokémon guessing game at 4 p.m. At 5 p.m., explore the Dragon Ball TCG card game;
  • Mini-Conference: On stage, Eric de Brocaert (GAMERGEN.COM) addresses the theme “What is PEGI?”;

  • Rocket League Tournament: Participate in the Rocket League tournament organized by the Fun War booth. Practice in the morning and compete against up to 32 players on Nintendo Switch Rocket League at 2:30 p.m.;
  • YU-GI-OH Special Initiation: discover the incredible universe of YU-GI-OH on the Geekland stand. Participate in the Yu-Gi-Oh! (maximum 16 players) at 11 a.m. and try the One Piece card game at 3 p.m.;
  • Cosplay Competition: take on the challenge of the Cosplay Competition at 2:30 p.m. Play your favorite character with style and panache. Online registration is possible or directly at the Sohei association stand;


Program for the two days outdoors:

  • Outside on the Boulodrome, children aged 3 to 10 (subject to availability of places) will be able to enjoy an Inflatable Structure and take part in thrilling laser fights with the Laser Game.
