Maximilian Arland: He barely escapes a break-in

That was close: Maximilian Arland almost fell victim to a break-in. The presenter and singer got away with a shock.

Moderator and singer Maximilian Arland (39, "Love in Sight") will certainly not be forgotten that night. The 39-year-old almost fell victim to a break-in. "I slept with the window open. Around midnight I heard footsteps in my garden, right under my bedroom window," recalls Arland in an interview with the news agency spot on news.

"My voice was gone the next day"

To scare them off, he went out on the balcony and screamed loudly – with success. "They jumped over a two-meter-high fence and fled. The neighbors should have stood upright in bed. My voice was definitely gone the next day," said the pop star.

The incident happened last week in his home in the middle of Berlin. "Until now, I always thought it was almost impossible to get onto my property without permission. To get into my apartment, you first have to go through five doors. My friends laugh about it when they visit me. They always say 'Little Fort Knox '. " There is still no trace of the burglars.

A "queasy feeling" remains

The jeweler next door had also been broken into last year. "The burglars came through my garden and cut a big hole in the fence." Today he has a "queasy feeling before I fall asleep," he admits. In any case, the moderator no longer leaves his windows wide open and he also always closes the doors twice.
