The new generations of graphics cards AMD and NVIDIA will finally be more accessible.
To be completely honest, we cannot speak of really official information. However, the clues and sources are so numerous that there is hardly any doubt left.
Dueling in the sun…
In the space of a few days, things have indeed jostled in the small world of the graphics card with announcements concerning first AMD and, in stride, NVIDIA.
For the first, it was therefore a question of obtaining details on the launch of the third RDNA3 card, the Radeon RX 7600. Models stamped Sapphire Pulse have already been seen in China and if testers are still waiting for their card, the release effective date is May 25, 2023.
A very short day after the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti which has just had a date that we will qualify as firm, after a lot of rumors setting it at the end of May. For this fifth Ada Lovelace model, NVIDIA is therefore aiming for May 24, 2023.
Same amount of VRAM, same interface bus
If the release dates correspond rather well between our two best enemies of the GPU, the technical specifications are less precise, especially on the AMD side.
For the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, we do know from almost certain sources that the GPU is an AD106-350 with 4,352 cores and a boost frequency of 2.535 GHz. The GPU will be accompanied by 8 GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus for a total bandwidth of 288 GB/s. Finally, the GPU TDP is announced for 160 watts.
However, on the side of the Radeon RX 7600, things are more blurred. The GPU should be a Navi 33 with 2048 cores, but we only have an approximation of the boost frequency (about 2.6 GHz). The 8 GB of GDDR6 should have an identical bus (128-bit), but we have no idea of the total bandwidth or the TDP of the GPU.
However, we should quickly be fixed: if the launches take place on May 24 and 25, the embargo dates should be set a short day before in each of the two cases.
