A major hack that would have allowed the hacker to get his hands on millions of private data.

Zataz indicates today to have become aware of a conversation between various hackers about the posting of a database probably stolen from McDonald’s France.
Concretely, it is a file of 385 MB which would have been stolen from the services of McDonald’s France. The latter contained no less than 3 million pieces of data, including the first and last names of customers, their birthdays, telephone numbers, email addresses, PayPal accounts, etc.

Fortunately, the data contained in the file benefits from encryption, which has not yet been decrypted by hackers. Customers’ personal data thus seems to be effectively protected, but several individuals are said to be actively working to decipher the data in question.
According Zataz, the leak would come directly from the mobile application of the fast food brand. The file was made available for 24 hours before being removed. It remains to be seen now how the hacker was able to get his hands on this set of data from McDonald’s France. At present, the brand has not communicated any information about this hack.
In the meantime, it may be useful to change the password that allows you to access your McDonald’s account.
