The fast-food chain will organize, in December, a big competition between the American users of its application.
The big operation will begin on December 5. On this date, McDonald’s will launch a game in the United States: until the 25th of the same month, any order of a minimum dollar placed on the application of the restaurant chain will register its users in a form of raffle. To win ? Three “McGold” cards put into play allowing you to eat for free at McDonald’s for life…or rather, for 50 years.
These three future winners will also win other tickets to distribute to their families or friends. “Our fans were mesmerized by the history of the McGold card, wondering if it really existed. And now we’re going to make this McDonald’s legend a reality for our fans by giving them the ultimate holiday gift.” points out Tariq Hassan, Marketing Director of McDonald’s in the United States, to CNN .

McGold cards have been around for years and some personalities already have them like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates or actor Rob Lowe. In 2018, McDonald’s had already launched several cards in order to win “only” two free meals a week for 50 years.
It should be remembered that excessive consumption of fast-food foods and products is harmful and can cause health problems. The latter are very often considered too fatty and not very consistent. In France, a survey by the National Association for the Defense of Consumers and Users (CLCV) recalled, at the end of November, that the menus offered for children were thus often “excessive in calories”, with “information on the nutritional quality almost non-existent”. Winners of the McGold Cards would therefore be well advised to exercise restraint.
