The success of the AirPods is undeniable. Since their launch at the end of 2016, we find these little wireless headphones in everyone’s ears! Although other brands have entered the fray, such as Google with its Pixel Buds or Samsung and its Galaxy Buds, Apple continues to dominate the market. But what about Android users who love headphones from the apple brand?
One app to rule them all (the AirPods)
Apple headphones use bluetooth to connect to devices, so they are actually compatible with other operating systems than iOS or macOS. Once connected to an Android smartphone, the headphones are functional. Touch gestures to control playback and noise reduction and transparency modes are also included.
However, a few features are missing, and that’s where CAPod comes in! Indeed, the free and open source application offers, for example, to activate the reaction of the headphones, such as automatic play or pause when removing an AirPod from one ear. But the feature that Apple offers that is missing the most on Android is detailed battery tracking. The program offers to keep an eye on the charging percentage of each of the AirPods as well as the case.
