  • PUBG are also trying their hand at projects outside of video games.
  • They demonstrated this with Ana, a hyper-realistic digital person.

Publisher Krafton, who is actually known for the Battle Royale hit PUBG, takes a slightly different tack with the recent announcement. The company presents a virtual human who is to further establish the company’s Web 3.0 ecosystem.

Digital person in hyperrealism

Ana is the name of the person created with Unreal Engine 5, who is supposed to blur the lines between digital characters and real people. With small details such as baby hair and fluff on the skin, the appearance should appear even more real, according to a press release.

Face rigging technology allows for natural movement of the eyes, muscles, joints and even the wrinkles on the skin. Along with an advanced voice synthesis designed to create an artificial voice for Ana, Ana will be able to act like a real human and even sing.

Ana in the video should follow

Exactly what Krafton plans to do with Ana is uncertain. More pictures, videos and even a story are to follow later this year, which could then explain how to proceed. So far, the company has only shared information about the new game The Callisto Protocol, which made its appearance at the last State of Play.
