Only the best series and films make it into the top 10 of Amazon Prime Video. This week a German drama series even made it to the top of the international charts.

“Amazon Prime Video” is currently outdoing itself with absolute hit series and films, which the streaming service offers free of charge with a Prime subscription. This includes not only the popular rom-com “When You Saw Me” with Hollywood star Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine (“Royal Blue”), which delights many viewers.
“Maxton Hall – The World Between Us” also conquers the current top 10 on the streaming service and can thus displace the previous number 1 “Fallout” from the top position. And this despite the fact that the video game adaptation has already attracted over 65 million viewers.

The German drama series is about Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James Beaufort (Damian Hardung, “How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)”), who fight each other at the elite school Maxton Hall. Since Ruby accidentally reveals a well-kept secret of James’s, the millionaire’s son wants to get out of the affair and buy her silence.
Ruby has worked hard for her success and is only able to get to the prestigious school with the help of a scholarship. Nevertheless, she forgoes the dubious hush money, which leads to friction with her and James. But the two seem to gradually overcome their initial antipathy and slowly become closer over the course of the series.
It’s not just German Prime customers who are blown away by the book adaptation, which is based on the first part “Save me” of the series of the same name by author Mona Kasten. According to Flixpatrol, “Maxton Hall” is currently number 1 in the international series charts on Amazon Prime Video and has an excellent viewer rating of 95% on the rating platform Rotten Tomatoes, which also indicates great popularity.
