Capcom however still has a compilation under the elbow, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collectionwhich includes the 10 role-playing games released on GameBoy Advance in the 2000s, with a few supplements.
You remember new online features announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022, inspired by the local multiplayer features of the time? Well, Capcom has just detailed them further, with a dedicated trailer. We will be able to fight with other distant players, participate in ranked matches or exchange chips.
In Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, players can join MegaMan.EXE and his NetNavi companions from around the world to save the interconnected world of Net Society! Thanks to the new online features, they will be able to organize private battles with their friends, fight against other players online in unranked matches or try to rise to the top in ranked matches! Players will also be able to choose from different battle rules, such as “Chips in Real Thing” type battles, “best-of-three brawls” inherited from Mega Man Battle Network 3 or “Version Battles” inherited from Mega Man Battle Network 4.
Players looking for specific Battle Chips will be able to trade with their friends and other Netbattlers around the world. In addition to exchanging chips collected in the series, players will be able to exchange styles of MegaMan.EXE to customize their look, but also Navi programs to make MegaMan.EXE even stronger. Downloadable chips, previously available exclusively at Japan-specific events, are now included. All 15 downloadable chips can be accessed through each game’s Mega Man screen.
As for other novelties, we will have access to a high resolution filter, a terminal 3D Interactive Staff Megaman.EXEas well as more than 1,000 visuals of Mega Man and 188 music tracks to unlock. And now that you know everything, all you need is the release date of this Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection : it will be released on April 14, 2023 on PS4, Switch and PC via Steamand if you pre-order your copy, you’ll unlock 4 special arrangements for the music player and Hubstyle skins and DarkMega for the Mega Man.EXE from the launch screen.
Icing on the cake, to celebrate the arrival of the project, seasons 1 and 2 of the anime’s original series Mega Man will be broadcast free of charge on the chain Twitch of Capcom USA and on the chain YouTube Mega Man early 2023. Note that this is indeed the 1994 series and not the series Mega Man NT Warrior released alongside the GBA games. Other than that, Mega Man 11 is available from €14.99 on Amazon.co.uk.
