Megan Thee Stallion
She bursts into tears in the middle of the stage
Because of an AI sex tape or a diss from fellow rapper Eminem? Megan Thee Stallion cried on stage.
Megan Thee Stallion (29) burst into tears on stage. The rapper wanted to start her song “Cobra” at her performance in Tampa, Florida, at the weekend when she faltered. She tried to collect herself and started rapping. But after a few lines she stopped. Fans captured the moment on video and posted Clips of it on social media.
Reaction to fake sex tape scandal?
We can only speculate as to why this emotional outburst occurred at the concert. But it came shortly after it was revealed that a sex tape with the singer generated by artificial intelligence was circulating. On X, she reacted to the fake video on the day of the gig.
“It’s really sick how y’all go out of their way to hurt me when you see me win,” Megan Thee Stallion wrote. “Y’all going too far, this is fake sh*t. Today was your last day playing with me and I mean that,” she continued.
Eminem brought back Megan Thee Stallion’s trauma
In addition, Eminem (51) had brought back a trauma of the artist. In his new song “Houdini” he alludes to Tory Lanez’s (31) shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez, who had a casual relationship with the rapper, fired at her in 2020 after an argument. The shots hit Megan Pete, her real name, in the feet. Bullet fragments had to be surgically removed. The Canadian rapper was sentenced to ten years in prison for his attack.
“If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me/Would I really have a shot at a feat?” raps Eminem in his new song, which brings back his foul-mouthed alter ego Slim Shady. In the difficult-to-translate play on words, he uses the similarity of the words “feat” (from feature) and “feet”.
But maybe it was simply the song that Megan Thee Stallion wanted to sing that caused the outburst. In “Cobra,” the rapper finally deals with dark hours. “Yes, I’m depressed,” she sings. “Every night I cried, I almost died. And no one around tried to stop it,” it also says.
