MegaSport Option: MagentaTV bundles live sports from DAZN and Sky – a complete package at a great price!

With its entertainment service MagentaTV, Deutsche Telekom offers the new all-round package MegaSport Option, in which live sports broadcasts from Sky, DAZN and the in-house MagentaSport offer are bundled.

This could be an interesting offer, especially for fans of the Bundesliga, since the games in the German upper house are now even more spread out between Sky and the sports streaming service DAZN. The latter has also recently raised its subscription price significantly.

The UEFA Champions League, which is otherwise almost exclusively hosted by DAZN, is also included in the new live sports package from MagentaTV, just like the Formula 1 races, which, with a few exceptions, otherwise run exclusively on Sky on pay TV.

In addition, there is the English Premier League with top clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester City. The remaining top European divisions are also part of the MegaSport Option with the Spanish LaLiga, Ligue 1 from France with Messi, Neymar and Mbappé and the Italian Serie A.

With the 2nd and 3rd Bundesliga, the women’s Bundesliga and the DFB Cup, there is even more national football entertainment at all levels. There is more sports content apart from soccer, including handball and ice hockey from Germany and the US popular sports leagues NBA, NHL and NFL.

MegaSport Option: This is how much you save compared to individual subscriptions

Of course, booking an all-encompassing sports package with all the important content from several providers is practical at first – but is it really cheaper than the individual subscriptions? The answer is: Yes – especially in the early booking process.

The MegaSport option, which is initially valid for 12 months and can then be canceled monthly, costs only 39 euros per month until August 31, 2022. If you book later, you can still get the package for 45 euros per month. The individual subscriptions to MagentaSport, WOW (formerly Sky Ticket) and DAZN should cost you up to 52 euros a month.

After a year of contract, however, the new MagentaTV package becomes more expensive: Telekom charges 48 euros from the 13th month – but you can also cancel the offer monthly.

MagentaTV: These new DAZN and WOW channels are being added

In addition to the DAZN app, MagentaTV wants to activate the linear TV channels DAZN1 and DAZN2 at the start of the season, which can be found via the program guide (EPG). In addition to the WOW app, all WOW live sports channels are also to be integrated into the EPG on MagentaTV devices from the start of the season. MagentaSport is available via app and 21 channels.
