Meghan Markle: back to show business?

Back to the camera

Meghan Markle gave up acting more than two years ago. She ended her successful role as Rachel Zane in the US series "Suits" in 2017 when she became engaged to Prince Harry and became part of the British royal family. But now Meghan Markle has officially abandoned her role as Royal. Back in Canada, she plans to go back to show business instead. According to a source in the "US Weekly", Meghan even seems to be keeping an eye out for a potential agent or manager.

No surprise to many, because some signs indicated that Meghan would like to return to her old calling. On the one hand there was this voice actor contract with Disney, which the 38-year-old is said to have signed. The deal with the mega entertainment company very much suggests how Meghan wants to tackle her professional future. And then there was Ted Sarando, who, as a high-ranking businessman, is responsible for the content of Netflix. He openly admitted at the "Screen Actors Guild Awards" on January 19 that he would like to work with Harry and Meghan. So the chances are good for a comeback, dear Meghan.

Nonprofit comes first

However, it does not entirely fall out of its old patterns. What many do not know: In return for Meghan's voice acting for Disney, the charity "Elephants Without Borders" is said to have received a donation of an undisclosed amount. Meghan also wants to produce documentaries that address important topics such as mental health and global warming. Even though she has moved away from her royal duties, a bit of royal charity is still flowing in her veins.
