The rumor has been swelling for several months already. Now confirmed, Meghan Markle will lend her voice to the narration of a documentary on the elephants. The film will be broadcast on Disney + from April 3.

While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to officially end royal office at the end of the month, the Duchess is already preparing to embark on a whole different adventure! For this new start, the former actress is reconnecting with her past while continuing to support the causes that are close to her heart. Indeed, very soon, Meghan Markle will be playingElephant, a documentary film that follows a family of African elephants on his epic journey through the Kalahari Desert. And so Meghan Markle will play the role of narrator, as revealed The Times. The DisneyNature movie will be available on the streaming platform Disney + from April 3 for seven European countries. For France, it will be necessary to wait for the exit of the platform, postponed to April 7.

If the film is released in April 2020, the collaboration between Meghan Markle and Disney is not new. It all started in 2016 when the duchess got to know some of the filmmakers' mutual friends. The collaboration would have been clarified last year during the London preview of the Lion King. Prince Harry is said to have told Robert Iger, executive chairman of the Walt Disney Company, that his wife possessed talents of dubbing.

His participation in the film Elephant East a way for Meghan Markle to reaffirm her commitment to the protection of pachyderms. And for good reason, Disney will donate film profits to Elephants Without Borders fighting for the preservation of the species. The association is familiar to the actress since she had already helped him in 2017 during his trip to Botswana with Prince Harry. Among other things, it had helped place geolocation markers on elephants threatened by poaching.

The film will be released only three days after the couple's official withdrawal from the British monarchy. An impatiently awaited event since it is the Duchess of Sussex's first project since she distanced herself from the royal family to live in Canada with Harry and their son Archie. Meghan Markle has not wasted time to start her new life and we imagine that new projects will see the light of day very soon!
