Comedy legend Mel Brooks has been quiet for a long time, but now there are first pictures of the continuation of his eighties hit “The Crazy History of the World”, in which Brooks is not yet to be seen.
- Mel Brooks’ ‘Crazy Story On Earth’ Finally Continues!
- The miniseries will start in spring 2023 on the US streaming service Hulu.
- Brooks is involved in the project both in front of and behind the camera.
Hardly anyone would have expected a comeback from 96-year-old Mel Brooks, but Brooks is actually very active, has only recently published his memoirs and can still be heard as a voice actor in many films.
But now Brooks is working on a sequel to one of his hit films, with fans still waiting in vain for “Spaceballs 2: In Search of Even More Money”. Instead, “Mel Brooks – The Crazy Story of the World” continues in the form of a mini-series.
The Hulu production jumps through time in a series of sketches, with comedians Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes and Ike Barinholtz taking on the majority of the roles. Brooks also stars, but is primarily involved as a screenwriter and executive producer. First pictures from “History Of The World, Part II” can be found here:
In Germany, the series will probably be shown on Disney+ in spring 2023 and will finally shed more light on stories like “Hitler on ice” and “Jews in Space”.
