Mel Gibson and Scott Eastwood: they meet in the action thriller "Dangerous"

Mel Gibson's professional sign of life: He will star alongside Scott Eastwood in the action thriller "Dangerous".

It's been a while since there was good news for actor Mel Gibson (64). In June of this year, he lost a lucrative Netflix deal after Winona Ryder (49) told her about the star's anti-Semitic statements. A month later, Gibson was also infected with Corona. But now a professional sign of life: The "Lethal Weapon" actor will play alongside Clint Eastwoods (90) son Scott (34) in an action thriller called "Dangerous", as reported by the US site "Variety".

Scott Eastwood plays a supposed sociopath who retreats to a lonely island after the death of his brother. But the island is not that lonely – a group of mercenaries washes up and besieged the main protagonist's retreat, who then tries to assert himself as a classic "die hard" one-man army against the henchmen. The role of Gibson is therefore not yet known, but it should be that of an important supporting character.

Filming of "Dangerous" in Canada is slated to begin this November. The choice of the director suggests that the film will be bloody. David Hackl (57) will make the film, which participated in the second part of the "Saw" series and made his directorial debut with the fifth edition of the adult horror saga about Killer Jigsaw. A movie date for "Dangerous" has not yet been set.
