Melania and Donald Trump retired to their Mar-a-Lago estate after moving from the White House to Florida. According to insiders, however, they don't spend much time together there.

"Disappointed by the way she left Washington, she is sometimes 'bitter and cold' towards her husband (…)", wrote CNN about the situation in the Trump house and cited several insiders. Melania Trump, 50, is said to "annoy" that her image is suffering from her husband's behavior; there are "moments of bitterness and regret". After all, Melania Trump left the White House with the worst ratings for a first lady in recent terms. This was shown by a poll commissioned by CNN in January.

Melania Trump and Donald Trump: No romance on Valentine's Day

In a February 14 greeting to Melania Trump dropped on her Twitter channel, she didn't mention her husband Donald Trump, 74, at all. "Today, Valentine's Day, I am thinking in particular of the many brave and inspiring children from 'The Children's Inn' whom I have visited over the years. I send them a lot of love and strength – today and every other day," wrote the 50 Yearlings. Donald Trump spent the day at his favorite place: Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. Melania is also said not to have appeared at the "Super Bowl Party" that Donald Trump held on February 7th at his golf resort. According to CNN, she is said to be spending more time with her parents Viktor, 76, and Amalija, 75. And then of course there is Barron Trump, 14, her son.

Former first lady in a bind

Many critics blame the former first lady for not taking a stronger stand against her husband. A former White House employee explains in an interview with CNN based on the storm on the Capitol the dilemma Melania is in: If she speaks out against her husband, she angered him and his followers. If they remain silent, this would be interpreted as implicit support for Donald Trump. When it came to the Capitol, Melania chose not to be silent. "I totally condemn the violence that has taken place on our nation's Capitol. Violence is never acceptable," she said in a lengthy statement posted on the White House website. She "begs people to stop the violence," she added.

Is Melania divorcing Donald Trump or not? It's the million dollar question that has yet to be answered.
