Melania Trump, 50, was the First Lady of the United States of America for 1461 days. It was an honor for her, she said in her last speech to the nation before the handover to Dr. Jill Biden, 69. The public does not want Melania Trump to pay homage to her duties: She left the White House with the lowest popularity ratings in the past four years, according to a CNN poll. Accordingly, 47 percent of the 1003 respondents have an "unfavorable" impression of her.

The 47 percent will have been confirmed when Melania Trump arrived at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida after leaving Washington. Melania Trump has been in Mar-a-Lago for a week with husband Donald Trump, 74, and son Barron Trump, 14. There she does what was expected of her: she went underground for the public. No photos, no social media post, no request to speak. That leaves enough time for the important things in life – such as looking after the children, for example.
US media reported in December that the ex-first lady was looking for a school for Barron. Getting used to a new social environment as the offspring of a controversial man like Donald Trump can be a challenge. It's good to have your mother by your side in this situation. Melania Trump has repeatedly made it clear in the past that her son has top priority. And Donald Trump could also use Melania's assistance: The impeachment proceedings against him in the US Senate will begin on February 8.
If the ex-first lady wants to relax, Mar-a-Lago offers the best option: It is one of the most exclusive private clubs in the world and has luxurious rooms, a spa, a fitness center, a library and a pool with sea views. Melania Trump said the house is one of her favorite places. And it should be even more beautiful: At the end of December, CNN reported that Melania was renovating the private premises of the property – but her husband should not have liked the result. So it is possible that she will have to lend a hand again in terms of decor.
According to the US media, there is not much going on in Mar-a-Lago at the moment: the private club has had a number of members jumped off, it is said.
