Mélenchon rebukes “the Holland wing of the PS, the Jadot wing of EELV and Fabien Roussel” after the failure of the motion of censure filed by LFI

In a note on his blog, the Insoumis leader sees in the gesture of the allies of the Nupes who have not signed the text, an “aberration”.

The failure of the motion of censure tabled by La France insoumise (LFI) on Monday, October 31, while Elisabeth Borne triggered 49.3 to have the Social Security budget adopted, is in no way a surprise. But Jean-Luc Mélenchon obviously does not digest it.

It is that, first, the motion of censure was not signed by the allies of Nupes. “What would an opposition be that would support the government by refusing to censor it? This is why we would prefer that everyone sign the motion of censure together“, affirmed the Insoumis leader in a note on his blog.

An aberration”

In addition, around twenty elected voices from the Nupes failed in the text defended by the rebellious group. And among them, those of Fabien Roussel, national secretary of the French Communist Party (PCF) and the socialist Valérie Rabault. “A dismaying attitude“, lamented Jean-Luc Mélenchon, targeting the “internal adversariesof the left alliance which, however, he believes, “widened and strengthened» : “The Holland wing of the PS, the wing Jadot of EELV and Fabien Roussel.“The latter is particularly criticized by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who sees in his gesture”astonishing support (and isolated to the PCF) for the budget of the Social Security by Macron“.

Seeing in these missing voices a “aberration“, Jean-Luc Mélenchon castigated what he considers to be a “congressional posture to harm Olivier Faure and to the majority of the PS group which voted censorship“. And to conclude, firm:Under the pretext of “refusing RN voices” they actually end up, without daring to say it, by supporting the Macron government by refusing its fall. It doesn’t stand up.»
