Ex- "Bachelorette" Melissa Damilia reveals in an interview everything about her comeback on "Love Island" and her future planning with friend Leander.

Melissa Damilia (25) will celebrate a special comeback. From March 16, she and Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (29) will moderate the aftertalk of the dating show "Love Island", which has been on RTLzwei in season five since March 8. In "Love Island – Aftersun: The Talk After" (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays after the dome show) she will also talk about her experiences that she herself gained as a 2019 candidate. "It all started for me with 'Love Island'. It is still like a big family to me. I am delighted to be able to return in another role," she explains in an interview with the news agency spot on news. What did Damilia plan to do for her return?

She practiced speaking for the moderation with a coaching session, "otherwise I would like to let all of this come my way and let Jimi guide me. I don't want to tense up too much in front of it." With her co-moderator, she makes a good team. "It's always fun and easy with us, which is very important to me." She looks back on her own "Love Island" time and living in a shared flat under the Mallorcan sun, above all positively, explains Damilia. "It was one of the most beautiful productions because it was very familiar and you got to know a lot of people."

Shortly after the show, she celebrated her birthday with former Islanders and is still in contact with Sidney, Lisa, Ricarda, Denise and Mischa to this day. Life in the villa was not only characterized by the holiday mood. "I was very busy with my feelings, almost too much," explains Damilia, who is why she tells the new Islanders: "Let yourself be guided, don't fixate on one person too quickly, but enjoy and use the unique time. "

In addition, the single men and women should not play a role and show themselves as they are – and of course be ready to fall in love. With a view to "Love Island" babies and a wedding, the 25-year-old is certain that the conditions are given in any case. Something can emerge from the show. "I'm very happy for Yasin and Samira. I got on very well with Yasin in the villa. The two of them have shown that if you want something serious that can also work with a TV format."

Friend Leander supports her in her new job

Melissa Damilia also found her love happiness on TV – but not on "Love Island", but in 2020 as "Bachelorette". She left the RTL dating show with Leander Sacher, who got her last rose. The couple are happy to this day. "The vortex after the final quickly calmed down, which was good for us, so we could use the time together – and finally show ourselves." She gave nothing to negative reactions or that someone would have liked the runner-up as the winner. "As long as my friends and family are behind me, I don't care what others think. The main thing is that I'm happy and that's me," reveals Damilia.

The couple are busy making plans. In addition to trips that would have given each other, there is also a move in together. "But we're not putting ourselves under pressure. And we're still a little too young for everything else (laughs)." She is also supported by her boyfriend on her "Love Island" comeback, who, if the hygiene concept allows, will visit her on Tenerife, explains Damilia. "Then we are not separated from each other for that long."
