Melon, cottage cheese, pacifier: discover the list of product recalls of the week: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Again this week, new products have been recalled and were removed from supermarket shelves, either because they posed a health or safety risk to the consumer, or because they failed to meet quality or compliance standards. Launched in 2021, the government platform Drink reminder currently lists more than 8,800 product recalls, which concern food, hygiene, clothing and electronic devices.

After the past week where cheeses, cookies and buns have been singled out, Current wife brings you some of this week’s new reminders, including melons, a buoy and a pacifier. If you have bought them or if you own them, do not consume or use them, and return them immediately to the point of sale.

Products recalled this week:

Current wife lists the products recalled during the week:

M’sAccording to Charentais

Combined with sunny lunches, melon is a must in summer that you never get tired of. Only be careful if you bought the Melons Charentais sold at Lidl stores in France, because they are the subject of a product recall. The fruits concerned have batch numbers L23-01, L23-02, L23-03, L23-04, and are marketed from June 10, 2023 to June 29, 2023. In question, they would present an overrun of the authorized limits of pesticides, and should therefore not be consumed.

Children’s products recalled this week:

This week, several objects intended for children were the subject of product recalls.

Buoy

After the recent children’s toys recalled because of a risk of a part that could come off, this time it is a buoy that is the subject of a product recall: the Baby Lying Ring hammock inflatable buoy from the Nabaji brand. All product lots with Global Item Numbers (GTINs) 3583787258873, 3583787258972, and 3583787182925 are affected. Marketed in Decathlon brands throughout France, the buoys were sold between February 1, 2023 and June 23, 2023. On its site, Rappel Conso explains that “in the event of a rollover, there is a risk of drowning because the child is attached to the buoy and finds his head under water without the possibility of turning around on his own“. In turn, Decathlon details that even if the use of this buoy must be done under the supervision of an adult, it is recalled as a precautionary principle in order to “take no risk with the safety of children“.

A baby monitor

The second children’s product recall concerns the baby monitor Baby Monitor Digital Video of the brand Philips Avent, marketed throughout France in Aubert, Autour de Bébé, Boulanger, Darty, Amazon, La Redoute and many other outlets. In order to know the exhaustive list of brands and the many product codes concerned, Current wife invites you to consult the product sheet on the Conso Reminder website. The baby monitor has been recalled because the battery in the screen allowing parents to monitor their baby may overheat when plugged in, which may pose a fire hazard.

Pacifier

Add to the list the pacifier Pacifier in Tritan 1st age from the brand dBb Remond, marketed in stores specializing in childcare. The recall affects all product lots with international item codes 3167671717013, 3167671717037 and 3167671717297. The pacifier is being recalled due to the “presence of Bisphenol A with a found value of 57.1 mg/kg“, can we read.

bath toys

Be careful if you bought a bath toy Baby Shark from the Zuru brand, marketed in Cora, Intermarché, Joué Club, Kingtoy, Leclerc and La Grande Récré stores. In front of the important list of references concerned, Current wife invites you to consult the product sheet in order to know the product and batch codes. The toys are being recalled because they are associated with cut hazards.

Similar, the bath toy Baby Shark Music Water Park from the Zuru brand, is also the subject of a product recall. Marketed in Action stores in France, the lot concerned has article code 3007510 and international article code 4894680011816. Similarly, the toy presents a risk of external injuries.

Cottage cheese desserts

Finally, the latest product recall concerns the Plain white cheese sweets with cane sugar from the brand Bledina ; be careful if you bought them and don’t eat them. Marketed in Carrefour, Casino, Leclerc, Cora, Intermarché, Match and Système U stores throughout France, the desserts have batch number 299867 and product code 3041091427670, with a minimum durability date of February 13, 2024. In question? They present “defects in appearance, taste and odor“, making them unfit for consumption and thus presenting a health risk to consumers.

What to do after consuming one of these products?

Foods subject to a product recall must not be consumed, as they may present risks to the health and safety of the consumer. If you have ever consumed them, consult your doctor if you have symptoms such as digestive disorders, dizziness or fever.
