(dpa) A British member of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist militia has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the United States for taking part in the kidnapping and killing of US citizens. The sentence for El Shafi Elsheikh was announced on Friday by a court in the US state of Virginia, according to the Justice Department. He was found guilty earlier this year. Elscheich belonged to an IS terrorist cell that became known as “The Beatles” because of the origin and accent of the members.
