Having just qualified for the IEM XVII in Cologne, the Sprout structure announces the departure of its Luxembourg player Marix.
Rifler Max “Marix” Kugener leaves Sprout. The German structure announced the end of the contract of the 18-year-old player, specifying that it was a decision taken by mutual agreement while “everything is going for the best”.
Sometimes you should bow out when it’s best. By mutual agreement @marixcsgo leaves the active roster with immediate effect. We greatly appreciate the commitment and the efforts he was willing to make for Sprout.
Only the best for you Meister, it was a pleasure. ?? pic.twitter.com/QNE35lomEk

Sometimes you have to stop when everything is going well. By mutual agreement, Marix leaves our team with immediate effect. We appreciated his investment and the efforts he made for Sprout.
The Ukrainian-born player had been the first competitor from Luxembourg to join a professional esports team on CS:GO. A former member of CC OGLUM with whom he had won the 99Liga, he had joined the ESL Meisterschaft (the German regional competition) in signing a two-year contract last January within the Sprout structure, which had just won the regular season. With this new lineup, he notably obtained a qualification in European RMR B but the team finished in last place in the pool, failing to secure a sesame for the PGL Major.
The player therefore leaves the structure with a trophy all the same, since Sprout won the ESL Meisterschaft Spring 2022 and will take off at IEM Cologne 2022. Without him.
