Mercato LCS: Immortals formalizes the arrival of IgNar

League of Legends, Esports, LCS, Immortals, Ignar, PowerOfEvil, WildTurtle, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest, Misfits, Lost, Arrow

Without a team since the beginning of the year, IgNar will return to competition during the Summer Split within Immortals. There he will find his former teammate at Misfits, PowerOfEvil.

The Immortals Spring Split was extremely disappointing as the North American structure finished in last place in the LCS. Yet having a better roster on paper than in 2021 with the recruitment of Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage and Jason “WildTurtle” Tran. However, the sauce did not take and the latter was even sent to the academy in the middle of the season. Following this failure, Immortals decided to reshape their team for the Summer Split.

Without surprise, the first formalization is that of Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun at the support position. The South Korean is an experienced player who should allow the team to progress. Moreover, he was free of any contract following his departure from Evil Geniuses during the last transfer window. He comes to find his former teammate PowerOfEvil whom he knew at Misfits Gaming and FlyQuest and with whom he participated in two world championships in 2017 and 2020.

To accompany him on the botlane, the latest rumors evoke the arrival of Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui from Golden Guardians. He will take the place of Noh “Arrow” Dong-hyeon, who had been promoted mid-season in place of WildTurtle. Only five months after his arrival, Lost will therefore already change teams to join Immortals and try to qualify for his first Worlds. To be seen if these two changes will allow the team to achieve its objectives but it is an undeniable reinforcement in view of the Summer Split.
