It’s official, Reeker will play well on the side of Team BDS during the Summer Split. He will join the academic roster in LFL.

The last few weeks have been eventful for the Team BDS academy with a spectacular run in the LFL playoffs and disappointment during the EU Masters. Finalist of LFL, the structure expected a lot from these European Masters but everything did not go as planned with a very disappointing third place in his group. We don’t know if that’s what motivated the structure to make a change to its roster, but it obviously needed changes.

A few days ago, we learned the departure of Francisco José “Xico” Cruz Antunes after a year and a half at BDS Academy. At the latest news, the Portuguese would fly to Spain and KOI for the Summer Split. To replace him, as announced by several sources, the Swiss structure has decided to recruit Steven “Reeker” Chen from MAD Lions. The German midlaner was a disappointment in the LEC Spring Split and the double European champion in 2021 decided to part ways with him to recruit Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer and try to regain his title.

This recruitment is a very good opportunity for Team BDS since in 2021, Reeker was one of ERL’s most sought-after midlanersrear Lucas “Saken” Fayard (Karmin Corp). Unfortunately, he won’t be given more time to prove he’s at LEC level and will play in the LFL in the Summer Split. However, if he manages to perform well, he could eventually take the place ofIlias «NUCLEARINT» Bizrikenholder in LEC for Team BDS, during the season.
