The LoL transfer window is launched. On the NA side, the Evil Geniuses toplaner leaves the structure after two years with the LCS team.

The League of Legends transfer window is well underway and we had already done a little overview for LCS movements. First big announcement this Monday in the NA championship: the Evil Geniuses toplaner Jeong “Impact” Eon-young, leaves the structure after two years of good and loyal service. A former LCK competitor, notably at T1, he joined North America in 2015. Passed by Cloud9 and Team Liquid, the 27-year-old toplaner had arrived for the 2021 season at EG.

His contract ends here, his team announced in a tweet:

The GOAT. The legend. Thank you for the past two years – your hard work has been vital in lifting the LCS trophy and going to Worlds. We hope you keep the dream of the Top Die alive in your path, and always remember: Once Evil Genius, Always Evil Genius.

Impact has never lived up to his name so well as during his time at Cloud9. But in the last two years, within the club, he was not left out: a win at the 2022 Spring Split, a first-place finish in the regular season at the Summer Split, and a semi-final at MSI. Unfortunately the structure did not bring anything back from Worlds 2022. Rumor has it that he should join Fly Queststill in LCS.
