Excel has just announced its roster for the resumption of the LEC in 2023, with only one survivor, Patrik. The French Vetheo notably joins the structure.

It’s again not a big surprise since the roster rumors had announced it for several weeks already, but it’s now official: Odoamne leaves Rogue to join Excel Esports. Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu, Rogue’s Romanian top laner for two seasons, was announced on December 12 in the XL squad, which is also taking the opportunity to deliver the rest of its official roster for the LEC in 2023.

The champion of the last split, and multiple regular season champion in Europe, finds a very competitive team for next year. With the British structure, he will now be associated with a compatriot, Astralis’ former jungler, Xerxe. The rest of the roster was also already known in outline, since Excel formalizes the arrival of the French midlaner Vetheo (from Misfits) and Belgian support Targamaswho recently left G2.

Patrick is therefore the only survivor of last season. The botlaner still has a year of contract, as does the head coach, YoungBuck who is kept in place. Excel should be able to aim better than its previous results, after a second part of the table over the past three years, but a slight improvement in 2022.
