The contract of the 2020 world champion, Nuguri, is not renewed. He leaves DWG KIA alongside other players and members of the coaching staff.
It’s time for a big change on the side of League of Legends DWG KIA team. After a split below expectations, 4th in the summer playoffs, and Worlds finished in the quarter-finals against Gen.G, management has decided to make several decisions at the start of the off-season transfer window. No less than 5 departures have been announced on the structure’s social networks in recent hours.

On the side of the coaching staff already, we note the departure of the coach Zefa and the head coach Daeny. The latter had taken over as head of the team at the start of the Spring Split after a season as an analyst. The former head coach of T1 therefore finds himself currently without a contract, just like kk0ma, the former coach turned athletic director of the team. The legendary SK T1 coach, 36, has no starting point so far.
Changes are also to be expected on the ground. The toplaner sub burdol, a former incumbent who alternated between the Challengers and the LCK this season, is no longer in management’s plans. Neither does his replacement, since we learn in the process that Nuguri was fired, a few days before his official end of contract. The 23-year-old Korean had made a short return trip to FPX, interspersing 4 seasons with Damwon. He could assert his title of world champion 2020 to find his new team in a transfer window which should be very active.
DWG KIA announces that the contract with Yang ‘Daeny’ Dae-in has been mutually terminated. DWG KIA will remember historic moments we’ve made together and appreciates his effort and contribution to the team. DWG KIA wishes him the best of luck in the future. Thank you.
