Mercato LoL: these players have not found a team for the 2023 season

The 2023 League of Legends season begins. The first step will be a showmatch tournament called Season Kickoff in a few days, before the real launch of the competitions over the weeks in January. the transfer window is therefore almost complete for everyone, and the majority of official rosters are known, both on the international scene and in ERL and LFL teams.

However, like every season (but a little less this year apparently), some well-known players have not found a structure for the launch of the 13th esports season on the Rift. We did a little overview of the rosters in order to list some players who should not resume during this Spring Split 2023.

In Europe

• promisq – The 28-year-old Swedish player is clearly no longer at the start of his career. Former support of Shalke 04, NiP or Astralis, he was in the AGO Rogue roster during the last split. Released by the team in November following the acquisition of the Ultraliga slot by Alior Bank Team, he is currently without a club.
• Upset – The 23-year-old German support is on the rise but unfortunately his path is blocked at Fnatic. The former Origen and G2 player, who had two good seasons with 3 times a podium in the LEC in four splits, gave way to Rekkles, back home. Failing to have found a team, he will therefore normally be on the bench.
• Haunt – The French support was released from the Karmine Corp in December. An experienced LFL player, who worked for Solary or Vitality.bee, he was part of the team that won the last EU Masters with KC. His future should lie with the new AEGIS structure, but for now he is unemployed.
• Karim kt- Another currently free Frenchman, 25-year-old jungler Karim kt left Team GO in December to make way for Lyncas. Former BIG and GameWard player, Karim finished 3-4th at the Coupe de France, after a championship title in Germany in 2021, enough to claim a place in the ERL.

In America

• Bwipo – He is still with Team Liquid, a structure he joined last season, but will not play in 2023. The 24-year-old Belgian has announced that he will take a break from competition and become a content creator for TL, for lack of having had an interesting proposal in LCS. The former Fnatic top laner hopes to find a roster during the summer.
• Alphari- After several podiums in LCS 2021, the toplaner returned to Europe in 2022 at Team Vitality to form a superteam that did not burn. Released by the LEC structure, he is therefore on the transfer market at 23, but has not found a team for the coming season. He could be aiming for a return to the LCS in the summer.
• Pobelter – One more season off the field for the American midlaner, who left CLG in February 2021 but still has not, from memory, announced the end of his career. Very experienced in NA, passed by TL, EG, Immortals, FlyQuest or even CLG, we should not see him again in a structure, but who knows…

In Asia

• Doinb – The 26-year-old South Korean midlaner already has a big career in China. Passed by JD Gaming, FPX or even LNG Esports recently, he raised several trophies, in particular that of MVP in LPL. Unfortunately, no one has announced their name in a 2023 roster yet.
• Hoit- His Korean colleague, 23, has known only the LCK. Released by Kwangdong Freecs in November after a short season with them, the former T1 and Damwon support has often played BeryL’s supporting roles and now wants to shine on his own. But you might have to wait until summer…
• Lv Mao – Soon an end of career for the 26-year-old Chinese support? Released from LNG Esports in December despite a not too bad season with a 3rd place at the LPL Regional Finals, the player faces an abundance of support in the Asian market and little space.
