Next year, you may be traveling in this 100% electric van from Mercedes.

A new Mercedes Concept EQT that pays homage to the famous Venetian traveler Marco Polo.

Mercedes unveils its electric van

A few months ago now, Volkswagen formalized its ID.Buzz, a 100% electric van directly descending from the prestigious Combi of the German brand. Today, it is the turn of Mercedes to give in to the call of the electric with regard to so-called “leisure” vehicles.

The brand with the star has just unveiled a brand new concept, dedicated to travelers who wish to benefit from a vehicle that is comfortable, modular and cut out for major expeditions. Its name: Concept EQT Marco Polo.

A concept worthy of Marco Polo

The new concept signed Mercedes is obviously declined from the previous Concept EQT, with here a much more pronounced “travel” side. A vehicle that promises both compact dimensions, while offering a cabin spacious enough to embark on long trips on the road.

The model has sliding side doors and a lowered loading sill, from which the camping elements can easily be removed or added. The interior is modular, you can in particular enjoy a bed and a kitchen, all on board a 100% electric vehicle of course.

There is also a roof tent, and the concept presented by Mercedes promises to prefigure fairly faithfully the production model planned for next year.

Mercedes will make an official presentation of its Concept EQT Marco Polo on December 2. The manufacturer should then formalize new information about it, in particular its power or the on-board battery. It will also be interesting to find out the price of this future campexpected in concessions during the second half of 2023.
