Mercedes publishes photos of the interior of its future EQE in an SUV and 100% electric version. On the program: the presence of the Hyperscreen and luxurious materials.
We already knew the 100% electric sedan EQE from Mercedes-Benz. This will soon be joined by an SUV version, called EQE SUV. The official presentation will take place on October 16, but the German firm is starting the teaser, revealing the interior of its future electric car.
Unsurprisingly, the interior of the EQE sedan is almost entirely taken over from the SUV, except for a few visual adjustments with, in particular, a roof guard that seems higher. The press release also indicates that in terms of legroom, height and width, it is one of the most comfortable cars in its segment. Mercedes shows here the most upscale version, with the famous MBUX Hyperscreen option which groups together three screens (two of 12.3 inches and one of 17.7 inches) and which was first seen on the very luxurious Mercedes- Benz EQS. Remember also that the latter also has an SUV version, with excessive prices.
For the rest, the EQE SUV seems to take all the elements that we already know in the EQE sedan version, with in particular the use of luxurious materials and warm colors. The dashboard, which seems huge, continues on its way on the doors as well as through a central console, also gigantic. The interior of the SUV version will be available in five different colors. At night, the LEDs offer a very enveloping light atmosphere for the occupants of the car.
A car over 75,000 euros
It will be necessary to wait until October 16 before the German manufacturer reveals all the information on the EQE SUV and particularly its price. The different batteries and engines should be similar to those of the current EQE. As a reminder, the EQE starts from 75,000 euros in France, with different versions, from 245 hp and 630 km of autonomy on the WLTP cycle for the 300 Electric Art version to 625 hp and 57 km of autonomy for the version AMG 53 4MATIC+. The prices of the EQE SUV will most certainly be higher, with potentially lower autonomy, due to the weight which should be higher and the poorer aerodynamics of SUVs compared to sedans.
