Merck KGaA: reorganization in life sciences

(CercleFinance.com) – The German group Merck KGaA announced on Monday the establishment of a new organization aimed at supporting the growth of its life sciences activity.

This new operational model provides for the creation, in addition to the existing structure dedicated to life sciences, of a group bringing together the testing and pharmaceutical subcontracting businesses under the banner of ‘life sciences services’.

The branch of solutions for science and laboratories will combine, within a single organization, research activities and applied technologies intended for analysis.

The bioprocesses business for pharmaceutical manufacturing will continue to be led by Andrew Bulpin, while Ivan Donzelot will replace Christos Ross as head of the integrated logistics and operations (ISCO) business.
