Do you send most of your messages on Messenger? So here is some news that might interest you.

Two years ago, rumors already mentioned the possibility of not seeing end-to-end encryption until 2023 on Messenger. If we had to be patient since then, it has now been confirmed.

Messenger will enable end-to-end encryption for everyone before 2024

On WhatsApp, Meta has made many efforts in recent years to improve the security of its famous instant messaging application. Unfortunately, Messenger, also owned by the Meta group, could not say the same until then. If, since last year, the Tech giant has offered its users the possibility of encrypting their group conversations from end to end, the functionality was still not established by default. To activate it, you had to go to the application options and choose “Secret conversations”. A situation that will normally evolve by the coming of the new year.

As reported to us by the site Android Police, all Messenger conversations will now be end-to-end encrypted before the end of the year. It will therefore no longer be necessary to manually activate any parameter to be able to enjoy secure conversations. The rollout of the feature should logically take place over the next few weeks.
