If you’ve ever tried to get a refund Quest on which you played less than two hours, you could see that it can sometimes be quite complicated. Well, that will soon change! Meta announces that it will be possible to try a title (from a selection) for 15 to 30 minuteslike what is done – over a much longer period, however – with the formula PlayStation Plus Extra of sony.
Developers have the choice whether or not to use this feature, without having to install anything. In other words, for them it is a simple option to activate from the profile of the game in question. During activation, users can choose the duration of the trial, between 15 and 30 minutes.
For players, it will suffice to go to the page of the game they want to try via the “Try before you buy” option (as in the first image of the article). When you try a title, the timer snaps on launch and pauses if you lock the headset or exit the app. Another subtlety, if you decide to buy the game, you will keep your progress and saveexcept of course if you uninstall the game and it is not eligible for saves in the clouds.
Finally, be aware that the “Try before you buy” function is not available only for applications of Meta Quest Store. It is not available on theApp Lab where the Rift Store. Also note that nothing says whether the reimbursement system for less than two hours of use will be kept or not, wait & see.
