Meta Quest 3 price drops before release!

Meta Quest 3 was officially announced during Meta Gaming Showcase last March. Usually, the two pieces of information revealed last when a new product is released are the price and the exact release date. It was with surprise, after the conference, that we were able to discover on the official website of Meta that the new helmet from the American giant would be sold “from 569.99 euros”.

This price, which then applied to the smallest model of Quest 3, was consistent with the price promises of $600 made by Mark Zuckerberg during various speeches. This information was therefore recorded and only the price of the second model (with storage of 256 or 512 GB and RAM of 8 or 12 GB depending on the leaks) was missing. But now, for a few weeks, we had noticed – and shared with you – the fact that on the FNAC and Boulanger website, the price of the Meta Quest 3 had increased to 549.99 euros instead of 569.99. We were then thinking of an introductory price since the official Meta website had still not changed its price. Well, it’s now done. The manufacturer’s website has just modified the base price and it is now written that the Meta Quest 3 will be available “from €549.99”.

The question that naturally arises is why this adjustment was made. We sincerely believe that it is to settle on a psychologically more selling price. It is clear that 549.99 euros is more meaningful than the in-between 569.99 euros. Anyway, whatever the reason for this change just before launch, future buyers have just saved 20 euros which can be used to buy a game or even an accessory.

If you want to treat yourself to a Meta Quest 3, you can pre-order it – probably from September 27 – on the FNAC website.
