Meta has just announced that its Meta Verified subscription system will also be rolled out for businesses. By adhering to it, they will benefit from additional functionalities on Facebook And Instagram.

After Elon Musk’s redesign of Twitter Blue on X.com, Meta also launched its own paid system. Unveiled in March, Meta Verified allows its members to benefit from the famous blue badge as well as increased account security, direct assistance, better visibility and access to more stickers .

According to the firm, the system, offered at 16.99 euros per month, above all makes it possible to fight against identity theft on its various platforms.

Like Meta Verified, but more expensive

Professionals will also be entitled to their own offer, although it will be more expensive. Meta Verified for Businesses will be tested in the coming weeks on Facebook and Instagram with businesses located in specific geographies. Verification on Facebook or Instagram will be offered at $22 per month, compared to $35 for both.

The service will provide the same benefits as Meta Verified, with a similar badge. To increase the reach of accounts that have subscribed, they will be better positioned in search results and will benefit from a recommendation system in the user feed, a feature also announced for the individual offer.

To register, businesses will have several eligibility criteria to meet, such as verification by phone, email or domain name, as well as minimal activity on their pages or accounts.

A new verification system for businesses is also coming to WhatsApp

Meta also explained that businesses using WhatsApp will be able to create a page accessible through a web search. They will also have the opportunity to have several employees interact with customers and answer their questions. This initiative is part of a broader ambition to set up a verification program on messaging as well, although no date has been revealed at the moment.

This announcement comes as Elon Musk said that X.com would soon become paid for all its users. For its part, Meta is considering deploying an advertising-free and priced offer in Europe.
