(AOF) – Metabolic Explorer publishes fourth quarter turnover down sharply year-on-year to 32.5 million euros compared to 42.6 million euros in 2022. The specialist in the manufacturing of health care ingredients natural origin intended for the animal nutrition, cosmetics and biopolymer markets specifies that while sales of specialty amino acids are up 55% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, the situation remains difficult in the field of commodities with sales which continued to decline due to “aggressive” Chinese competition.
In this context, the group “continues to mobilize public authorities and stakeholders at the national level in order to re-establish the mechanisms for healthy competition on European markets”. As part of its search for financing, it has also “engaged in advanced discussions with several potential industrial partners”.

Nothing is going well for German chemistry
German chemicals, very dependent on Russian gas, are in difficulty.
