METAVISIO 2023 ANNUAL RESULTS – THOMSON Computing

announces its results for the 2023 financial year. The accounts for the 2023 financial year were approved by the board of directors on April 26, 2024.
Highlights of the year
In a difficult economic situation marked by a tense geopolitical environment, the return of high inflation and the slowdown in household consumption, particularly in electronic products, the entire IT industry experienced, as in 2022, a very complex.
After a sluggish first half, METAVISIO experienced an acceleration in its sales in the second half, as well as a clear improvement in all of its results in 2023 compared to those of 2022, thanks to a unique positioning and fine management of operations. .
Internationally, METAVISIO continued its development with 20 countries opening in 2023, which brought the total number of countries where METAVISIO sells its products to 52 at the end of 2023. Several new distribution agreements were concluded, notably in India and in Eastern Europe. In 2024, these agreements will enable a wider distribution of THOMSON Computing products on the shelves of consumer brands in diversified international markets, outside France.
Strong improvement in overall 2023 results
METAVISIO’s 2023 net turnover stands at €28.3 million (€35.3 million gross of deliveries made less returns and stock protection in Windows 10, for an amount of €7 million).
Operating profit reaches €2.8 million in 2023, or 9.9% of turnover compared to -€3.8 million in 2022.
The net result is positive at €1.1 million, or 3.5% of turnover, compared to -€6.2 million in 2022. It includes financial charges for an amount of €1.6 million (-31 .2% compared to 2022), as well as an exceptional loss of -€0.3 million.

Strengthening the financial structure
Shareholders’ equity as of December 31, 2023 stands at €15.0 million, an increase of +€3.6 million compared to December 31, 2022, mainly taking into account the positive result for the 2023 financial year of €1.1 million.
Availability as of December 31, 2023 stood at €0.3 million.
In 2024, the company carried out several capital increases for a total of €5.1 million (including €4.4 million in share premiums), thus strengthening its equity capital, in order to be able to honor an order book which from the first quarter showed strong growth. This strengthening of the financial structure should allow METAVISIO to
support its international development and accelerate its growth.
Rebound in turnover expected in 2024
Over the current year, METAVISIO should record a
significant increase in sales with a commercial pipeline of around €100 million
at the end of Q1 2024.
METAVISIO is accelerating the opening of international markets which will materialize in the signing of major new orders. The resumption of supplies by large retailers in Europe and around the world is supported by the signing of
distribution agreements with major players in the sector
,
such as INTERMARCHE in Europe, PEOPLE in China
And
Flipkart in India,
where METAVISIO opened a commercial subsidiary.
Referenced by Indian government purchasing centers, METAVISIO will be able to respond to calls for tenders for potential orders worth several tens of millions of euros, mainly in the education sector.
Due to these elements and the company’s diversification across three customer segments (BtoC, BtoB and BtoG),
METAVISIO confirms growth in its turnover for 2024 and continued improvement in its results.
