Born in 2010, the franchise Metro has already been entitled to three major opuses, reissues and compilations. In 2024, a title exclusively in virtual reality will see the light of day, but 4A Games recently announced another interesting piece of information: Metro Exodus has sold 10 million copies.
For a game currently celebrating its fifth anniversary, that’s impressive, but it’s time for 4A Games to move on. In a historical frieze showing the lines of a metro, the developer reminds us that Metro Awakening VR in 2024, but also a new opus… on a date still unknown. Yes, the franchise Metro will continue with an episode, but the year of release is obviously blurred.
The developers are teasing there, specifying that the title will be released “when it’s ready”. No question of hurrying, 4A Games keep it a mystery, fans will have to wait. As a reminder, the studio had already announced that this next part will include multiplayer, enough to intrigue fans.
