On Sunday, police officers checked around noon on rue Guérin in Villeurbanne a car coming from boulevard Stalingrad which was traveling at high speed.
The vehicle came to a stop, but the driver and passenger immediately fled on foot. They had good reasons: the police found about 3 kg of cannabis resin in the car. The passenger had 298 g on him, a total for the two men of 3.37 kg.
For personal consumption
In police custody, the driver, a 26-year-old Caluirard, said he bought the drugs for resale. Denying any involvement, the passenger was released.
The Caluirard was presented to court on Tuesday for a plea-guilty judgment.
