About thirty gendarmes were mobilized all night from Monday to Tuesday in Corbas, an octogenarian having taken refuge in his home, armed with a rifle.
The alert fell shortly before midnight, when a shot had just been fired outside the house, in the area of rue Jean-Pierre-Rousseau, near the gendarmerie.
Immediately, units from the PSIG (surveillance and intervention platoon), the PSPG (specialized protection platoon) and the Bron company were deployed around the house.
Several hours of negotiations
The negotiations lasted several hours and, in the early morning of Tuesday, the octogenarian left his home.
Due to his psychological state of health, he was taken care of by the emergency services in order to be hospitalized.
