Lhe day promises to be difficult for RATP users. This Thursday, November 10, due to a strike, seven metro lines will be completely closed and seven others only open at rush hour, the RATP announced on Wednesday in a press release. The RATP is in fact expecting a black day, with a call for strike relayed by all the unions which have set a clear objective: “zero metro, zero RER”, to demand wage increases and an improvement in working conditions. work.

In detail, only lines 1 and 14, fully automated, will circulate with certain restrictions (five stations closed on 1) and with “a risk of saturation”, warns the RATP. On the RER, 1 in 3 trains will run on average on line A, and 1 in 2 on line B at peak times. Traffic will be normal on lines C, D and E.

Lines 2, 3bis, 5, 8, 10, 11 and 12 will therefore be completely interrupted on Thursday. On the other hand, lines 3, 4, 6, 7, 7bis, 9 and 13 will be partially open, in the morning from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and in the afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a severely degraded service . There will, for example, be only 1 train out of 4 on line 3, or even 1 train out of 2 on line 4 with ten stations closed. Some metros will only run on a small portion of their usual route and with a much lower frequency than usual, such as on the 5 or 6. On the bus network, only 2 out of 3 buses will run on average with some very disturbed lines. Only the tram will have a more or less normal schedule with the exception of lines T2 (3 out of 4 in the morning, 1 out of 2 in the afternoon) and T5 (1 out of 2 from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.).

Almost normal traffic on the SNCF network

“The RATP invites all travelers who have the possibility to favor teleworking or to postpone their trips on the network”, recommends the Régie, which apologizes in advance. Elsewhere in Île-de-France, the network operated by the SNCF should also experience some disruption due to a strike launched by the CGT-Cheminots. The TGV lines will run normally while the Intercités will be slightly disrupted. Traffic will also be slightly disrupted on TER lines with an average of 9 out of 10 TERs circulating nationally. On line N of the Transilien, two out of three trains will run.
