In Meudon, the husband of the woman found dead earlier this week was indicted for spousal murder and remanded in custody. The 35-year-old victim was reportedly killed by multiple stab wounds in front of her children. The 52-year-old man was arrested with his hands covered in blood.

The husband of a woman killed in Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine) at the start of the week was indicted on Thursday November 3 for murder by a spouse and placed in pre-trial detention, the Nanterre prosecution said on Friday, requested by the AFP. Residents had called the police to report that a man had come out of a dwelling shouting “I killed my wife”, according to the continuous news channel CNews. This reports testimonies describing him “in socks and hands covered in blood” during his arrest.

The suspect is 52 years old and the victim 35, according to the prosecution. The investigation was entrusted to the Hauts-de-Seine departmental judicial police service, said the public prosecutor. The victim allegedly received several stab wounds on Tuesday, November 1 at the end of the afternoon, in front of the couple’s two children, according to Cnews, which revealed the case. In 2021, 122 women were killed in France under the blows of their spouse or their ex-spouse, according to a report published at the end of August by the Ministry of the Interior.
